Dear Epiphany Parishioners,
I hope that this correspondence finds you in continued good health and prayerful spirit. As we continue to adjust to the ever and fast changing safety measures and requirements to overcome this world health pandemic, we were just given clarification by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston as to how to proceed in light of yesterday's Stay Home, Work Safe Order of Harris County Judge Hidalgo.
The following is effective only until April 3, 2020:
1) The church will be closed to private prayer for the time being. This is to comply with the Order that prohibits public or private gatherings of any number of people reoccurring outside a single household or living unit.
2) The parish office is closed, and the parish staff is working from home in accordance with the guidelines of the Work Safe Order.
3) Saturday Confessions at 4pm is suspended through April 3rd. As always, you can call the parish office and leave a message to schedule an appointment for individual Confession.
We will continue to provide Mass by video every Sunday and into Holy Week if necessary. And the essential Parish Social Service Ministries will continue, adhering to the social distancing guidelines for the health safeguards of Epiphany staff and volunteers.
In God's providence and deliverance, we place our trust firmly and truly in the Lord Jesus during this constantly changing health crisis that has helped all of us to focus our heart on family, sacrifice and faith. Let us continue to unite our concerns and suffering to Jesus, the Light of the World, in these long and lingering days in the Holy Season of Lent.
Faithfully yours in Christ,
Fr. Tom Lam
