Pray with our Holy Father, Pope Francis
Friday, March 27 at 1:00 pm EDT (6:00 pm in Rome)
The Holy Father will lead us in a special prayer. He will then grant a Plenary Indulgence before imparting the Urbi et Orbi Blessing. Urbi et Orbi "(to the city [of Rome] and to the world)" denotes a papal address and apostolic blessing usually given by the Pope on certain solemn occasions such as Easter and Christmas.
An indulgence is a Grace from God given to us through the Church to heal our souls or others from the consequences of sin here on earth or after death. Participating in this prayer with the Pope will grant us an indulgence if we have the intention to come to Confession and Receive the Eucharist as soon as we can go back to Church.
