March 28th Update
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
First of all, a reminder that I will celebrate the mass with Facebook live at 6pm Saturday in Spanish and 10am Sunday in English.
As you probably have heard by now, the Bishop has suspended public mass thru the day before Divine Mercy Sunday (Saturday, April 18th). Let us continue to pray for an end to this pandemic and for all those who have been adversely affected. I am working on a plan for Holy Week and will share that with you early next week.
I want to share with you some good news during these difficult times. I heard outdoor confessions in the back-parking lot for about 5 hours yesterday. I will make more times available next week and will let you know soon. Again, please contact the office by phone or email me if you need to make an appointment for confession at a different time.
The following passage is taken from the 2nd reading of for this Sunday (Romans 8), “If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit dwelling in you.” The Word of God offers us encouragement to remember that Jesus is the Lord of Life and that our ultimate call is to be with the Lord forever in Heaven. Don’t get discouraged or take your eyes off of the Lord!
May God Bless You!
Fr. Rick
Padre Rick
