Today in Youth Group...
we had a little party! We played some fun games. Your teen may have even won a prize that we will mail to them this week! We also talked about today's reading, how Lazarus was dead and Jesus brought him back to life, just like how God can bring us back to normal life after being stuck in this dark time. We wrapped up our conversation with an open time for questions. See below for some good questions to ask your son or daughter to help them process "the new normal" of our current life.
After Youth Group tonight, ask your teen...
- What has been your biggest disappointment regarding the cancellation of school?
- What have you enjoyed about the extended time at home?
- What is one thing that you are thankful to God for this week?
- What is your daily routine? How does prayer fit into your daily routine?
- What is one way that you pray that has been meaningful for you?
- (For Parents to share) Share one way that you pray that is meaningful for you.
Prayer over your Children
There are many stories throughout the Scriptures of parents praying blessings over their children. Take this opportunity to pray a blessing over your child(ren). Let your prayer be spontaneous and a movement of your heart.
- Here are some Scripture verses to inspire your blessing:
- “The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace! (Numbers 6:24-26)
- “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
- “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” (2 Corinthians 13:13)
