Parish Update -- April 3
Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph and Corpus Christi:
We hope you are all well and staying safe. I wanted to keep you up-to-date on a few items:
1. Office Closed -- With the Governor's shelter-in-place order beginning tonight at 5 PM, we are closing down the office until further notice. We will be working from home as much as we are able and we will each be coming by the office for essential business once or twice a week or so. We will be checking voice mail messages remotely and regularly, as well as email inboxes, and the physical mail box.
2. Your Needs -- Please let us know if you need anything from any of us.
3.
Live-stream Masses -- Last week's live-stream was very successful. Thanks again to David Garraway for all of his help and expertise. We will continue to do this for the next few weeks. Palm Sunday Mass is this Sunday at 10 AM. We will live-stream from
https://www.facebook.com/stjosephstarkville.
Sacred Triduum Times are:
April 9 - Holy Thursday 6 PM
April 10 - Good Friday 3 PM
April 11 - Easter Vigil 8 PM
April 12 - Easter Sunday 10 AM
4. Palms -- We are blessing palms, but in line with our diocese's directives, we will wait to distribute them at a later date.
5. Parish Stewardship:
As you know, our collections are down and will continue to be, at least through April. March 23 our collections were down 86% and last weekend our collections were down 68%. Thanks to all of you who have continued to give online or otherwise. We really appreciate it. There are still several ways you can give. Every donation counts, so. please be generous.
