Good morning parish families and friends,
Another beautiful day to give praise to God! Remember when we were little kids and we did not want mom to find out about something we wrong? We would skirt around the "truth" and make up a story. For some strange reason God blesses mothers with a "sixth" sense.
The truth is something that we might shy away from at times. It is hard to face the truth, especially when we know that it may lead to hurting our relationship with one another and God. The temptation is to give into "little" lies. if this happens alot then a pattern may be repeated and bad habits start to form.
God gives us His Son, Jesus, who says "I am the way and truth and the life." (Jn 14: 6) The question today for us to ponder is "Do we know Jesus?" In our prayer, ask Jesus into our lives today. He will help us search out the truth and to embrace it. This trust in Jesus is the first step in reducing the stress and angst of this pandemic.
Very rarely did I ever "pull the wool" over my mom's eyes. Like all of our moms, she was a woman of faith and trust. God be with you today :)
