Dear parishioners of Saint John The Baptist Parish, (which includes our mission churches)
I hope and pray you are well and closer to the Lord and family in these days of trial and limitations. Our Lord seems to see fit to share some of His Passion with us that we may grow closer to Him this Lenten season. Although easier said than done, if we allow it, trials can purify us of the superfluous in order to focus on the things that really matter in life.
Echoing Bishop Vetter’s words, I also encourage you all to continue your daily and Lenten devotions (Rosary, Stations of the Cross etc.) and keeping holy the Lord’s day with family members by reading holy Scripture. As you may know the Bishop’s masses can be accessed live online. As has been the case, due to our small numbers, our churches can be opened upon request or by those who have access for private prayer before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
Pope Francis once called our Church a “field hospital” and as hospitals don’t close due to virus I will be available for serious sacramental needs especially for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Anointing and Viaticum for the dying, as well as, confession for those in grave need. (cell 406 202-8912)
Thank you all who have kept up your tithing to keep the bills paid for the church and the grounds!! This has been very
helpful! If you have not yet, please consider mailing your tithe to the Parish office. God blesses you abundantly for this sacrifice.
Lastly, if you want to be included in any updates from the parish office please make sure you are signed up with Flocknote or call the parish office for details.
May all this inconvenience and suffering help us to be able to be intentional disciples and rejoice all the more as we eagerly
anticipate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!
“Come to me all who are labored and burdened and I will give you rest.”
(Matt. 18:28-30)
