Hello everyone,
During this unique time, we want to assure you that your safety is our priority. We wanted to let you know of a few changes to regularly scheduled and upcoming events going on in our parish. Officially Canceled:
- Distribution of Palms (scheduled for Sunday, April 5): Due to the extension of state and local social distancing guidelines, the Diocese of Dallas has issued further guidance stating that there may be no Distribution of Palms at parishes this weekend.
Rescheduling:
- Celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation for those in the RCIA process - adults and children/youth preparing for Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion through the RCIA. We will be scheduling alternate dates as soon as the both civil and Diocesan guidelines allow for us to gather for worship.
- This does NOT apply to those in traditional Sacramental Prep programs who are scheduled to celebrate Confirmation or First Communion in May. We have not received guidance for those programs yet, and will provide information as soon as we are able. However, with the extension of Dallas County's "shelter-in-place" through April 30th (announced on 4/3), expect there to be some changes in these dates as well.
Virtual Event Opportunities:
- Youth Confirmation (and children/youth in RCIA): Be sure to check the Holy Website for the videos and worksheets for Confirmation Session 6. There is a link in the Confirmation button below. - First Communion (and children/youth in RCIA): There is a new video for you to watch that deals with the proper way to receive holy communion. Parents - be sure to watch the video with your child and start practicing with them at home. There is a link to the First Communion page of our website in the button below. This is where you can find the video and stay up to date with news and information.
- Holy Spirit YouTube Channel: we will be posting new videos and live streaming Masses through our new YouTube channel.
- Palm Sunday Mass (English) with Fr. Eugene Okoli, Parochial Vicar, April 5th at 10:00 AM.
- Holy Week and Triduum Liturgies live streamed from the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe: Celebrate Holy Week with our Bishops and Catholic brothers and sisters throughout the Diocese. See information below for a listing of services and various media outlets.
