Families,
Family Formation has provided this blog with guidance on how you can use the Family Formation materials with your children this Holy Week. Please check it out!
You will need your materials. Some have picked up their folders in the office. I assume the rest of you have chosen to print them yourself at home. If you would still like to pick up your folder, our office is still open. We will be open until 5pm today and I will be in the office this weekend as well. I'll leave the door unlocked from 12pm-4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
The email I sent before is included below for your reference!
Message to the Family Formation Families
We are praying with you. I am sure this is a difficult time for everyone. You expected that your kids would return to school after spring break and that hasn't happened. You are adjusting work schedules and trying to be supermom and superdad. Maybe you are afraid that you will lose your job. And, you are trying to keep you and your family virus free. This is a stressful time. Again, we are praying with you.
As you know from my email last week, all parish faith formation activities have been suspended by order of the bishop until at least April 15th. So, we won't be able to meet on April 5th as planned. However, our Family Formation model of ministry is well suited to this situation. You, the parents, teach the bulk of the lessons at home. I simply need to make sure you get the materials.
Like I said in the last email, you can pick-up your folders in the office. They are printed and ready to go. A couple families have already taken advantage of this and have picked up their folders. That's fantastic!
Maybe you don't feel comfortable coming into our office. I understand that. All the materials that Family Formation sends me associated with the April lessons are available to you for home printing by clicking this link:
You can access the planning and printing instructions and all the Home Lessons in English and Spanish. If you have trouble with the link, let me know. I've never had trouble with a Dropbox link in the past, but there is a first time for everything.
Below you will find the videos that Family Formation provides to the parishes. These videos are designed to help me prepare for the presentation I give to you on Family Formation Sunday. So, they should be sufficient to prepare you to teach the lessons to your children. Family Formation emailed me last week stating that they were looking to update the parent video. If that occurs, I may need to send you a new link at a later date.
