Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Our thoughts and prayers continue for our parishioners and their families during this COVID-19 Pandemic. We look forward to the time when we can all worship together again under one roof. May God bless you all and keep each of you in the palm of His Hand.
Due to the recent orders for “Shelter in Place,” our Parish is facing a financial strain and burden. Collectively we as a Parish are faced with reducing our normal overhead because we are experiencing an average of 60-75% below our normal collections. Primarily this has affected our payroll, therefore we have implemented a (RIF) “Reduction in Force” policy. None of us know how long this will go on so we are reducing our overhead by the following:
- Fr. Andrew and I will take a 10% pay cut
- All employees will not exceed a 30 hour work week
- Restructuring of staff for overall efficiency
- All contract labor and vendors are being evaluated to determine “absolute necessity"
I am truly impressed by the tenacity and diligence of my Parish Staff in keeping accounts payable current without the normal revenue income from our Offertory Donations. We are taking immediate measures in every area to reduce expenses without diminishing our focus and mission. We ask you to keep the Parish and its Staff in your prayers. Together we can overcome this pandemic.
Even though you do not attend Mass during this crucial time, your support of the ongoing operations and ministries of St. Joseph Catholic Church is much needed. We greatly appreciate your contributions online with WeShare at
https://stjosephbcs.weshareonline.org/ or to the St. Joseph Church Office, 507 East 26th St., Bryan, TX 77803. Thanking you in advance and continuing to pray for all. Together we can make this happen!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. Steve Sauser, Pastor
