Advent greetings and peace!
I am writing to thank everyone who has already given the Annual Catholic Appeal. Your gift supports the work of our Bishop throughout our diocese and beyond. Together we can do so much more!
If you have not had a chance to give to the Annual Catholic Appeal, I encourage you to make a gift today. Gift envelops are available in each church, here is a link to give online.
http://diocesehelena.org/resources/online-giving/Here are a couple of areas that your gifts support:
- Your generous contributions to the 2016 Annual Catholic Appeal will help us ensure priests for the future of our diocese. The Annual Catholic Appeal 2016 helps provide appropriate theological education and formation for our seminarians and continuing education opportunities for our priests. (Fr. Cody's formation and education were supported by gifts to the ACA.)
- The Annual Catholic Appeal 2016 also helps support our Mission in Guatemala. Did you know that severe poverty makes it difficult for the people of Guatemala to meet basic nutritional and clear water needs, and limits access to educational and medical care? Our Mission has dramatically improved the lives of people in Guatemala. Gifts to the ACA 2016 will help provide for the educational and health care needs in more than 50 communities in Guatemala's Boca Costa region.
You can learn more about ACA funded ministries watching the video below, or by visiting:

PS:
We need everyone's support for this important work and ministry of our Bishop and Diocese. I recognize that this is a challenging time for some, but the needs of ministry are great and every gift, no matter the size, is truly appreciated, needed, and gratefully received! So, let's have a little fun! I a going to issue a challenge... If our parish communities reach 100% of our financial and/or participation goals, Fr. Cody and myself will prepare a dinner for all ACA gift givers in our parishes.
Thank you again for all you have already given and thanks those who will make a gift today! Together we accomplish the work of the church!Fr. Jeff
