Hello, Everyone!
This is a first in 30 years of teaching: Parent/Teacher Conferences by phone!?
Thank you so much for talking with me about your child's progress. Even though we can't see each other, it's still important to keep in touch & share learning success!
It appears parents & children are becoming quite creative in finding ways to learn together. Yes!!
Counting , measuring, looking for colors, shapes, letters & numbers happen in every day activities...while we take a walk, help in the garden, cook etc. Paper & pencil can't take the place of hands-on learning when you're 3 or 4 years old!
The suggestions you find in the activity bag are just a few additional things you may want to do & try together.
Bags 'o learning will keep coming!
You may pick them up at the East Entry of the church.
The church doors are open Mo -Fri, 9 -11:30a.m., and 5:30 -7 p.m.
Please, bring back empty bag # 1; leave it in the entry when you pick up bag #2!
Bag #2 will be ready to go on Wednesday, April 8th.
On Wednesday, April 15, bag # 1 will be filled again with ideas & ready for
pick-up!
My idea is to keep alternating between the 2 bags & keep activities going!
Thank you for your help with this!
How soon will school start again?
Will we be able to attend school at least in the month of May?
All of us at St.James wish we could answer with "YES"!
But of course, who knows how long COVID 19 will hold out on us.
Spending a lot of time together at home is somewhat of a challenge for families.
But what a great opportunity to grow & learn together!
We want to wish you a very happy Easter!
Hoping to see you soon!
