Thank you to all who donated turkeys for the Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle Hunger Project just prior to Thanksgiving! We received 28 turkeys and were able to provide one to everyone who came Tuesday morning hoping to be able to have a traditional holiday meal! These were received with great excitement and appreciation!
The Hunger Project serves over 500 households per month through our grocery store style food pantry and delivery of groceries to homebound individuals. We are still in need of TURKEYS, TURKEY BREASTS,HAMS OR OTHER APPROPRIATE MEAT ITEMS for Christmas dinner. These will be given to individual Hunger Project client households for them to prepare their own Christmas dinner. As of today, we are not able to purchase the turkeys at the greatly discounted rate that has been available in past years from the High Plains Food Bank and have been informed that they will not have their annual "turkey drop".
Please bring donations directly to Catholic Charities at2801 Duniven Circle (entrance faces Church Street) anytime before December22nd, Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Thank you to St. Thomas parishioners for your continued support! If you have questions, please contact NancyTurner or Mandi Houk at 376-4571."
