We have arrived at the three most holy days in our Church, the Triduum! My prayer for you and your family, is an inspiring journey to our Easter joy. I pray you are able to find ways to connect with the ones you love and that maybe you try attending the
Livestream services. Each celebration is rich in meaning, ritual and tradition. The luxury of having them streamed means you can stop and come back to the recordings afterward if necessary. So I encourage you to try and watch with your family. Re-enact the rituals at home to keep the children engaged.
A few resources for the Triduum:
The Allelu Show videos do a wonderful job of explaining the rituals of the Triduum and our own devoted Ms. Aurora Sta Ana even recorded a Children's Liturgy for Easter. All of these resources are available on my
Holy Week page for ideas!
At St. Michael we are blessed with so many talented people. We are blessed with so many servant hands who help make our community the vibrant place that it is.
Thank you Ms. Aurora! And thank you to the Preston Family for taking on the Palm Sunday Children's Liturgy! (If anyone missed it, you can view it from the Holy Week page, under Palm Sunday)
A Gift for Us All
Ms. Ursula Ardy, who you might recognize from Saturday 5pm Mass or from your faith formation session or as a member of our faithful nursery staff on Sunday mornings, shared a video of her Easter village on Facebook. I begged her to record a message and share it with me so that I could share it with all of you, and her daughter Jayne made it happen. Over the years, Ursula has purchased the beautiful figurines and then she handmade the accessories that transform her Easter village. Take a few moments to watch and see how many moments of Holy Week you can identify!
Thank you Ms. Ursula for sharing your beautiful display with us all and Jayne for capturing the video!
Zoom Humor
And I close with a little humor, Ms.Tara Dira shared this with me. Imagine if the Last Supper was on Zoom!
