Sisters and brothers in Christ,
Happy Easter Week! We believe that Jesus risen from the grave is always a sign of hope for Christians in every generation and especially for us today! This weekend our regular "crisis-mode" livestreamed Mass schedule continues: Saturday 4 PM at St. Irenaeus; 5:30 PM at St. Joseph; Sunday 8 AM at Our Lady of Joy, 9 AM at St. John the Baptist and 11 AM at St. Januarius.
Since we've added a lot of parishioners from our email contact lists to Flocknote during the pandemic crisis to communicate with you, I've limited the messages to "everyone". However, we do have more frequent updates if you would like to receive them. Simply reply that you would like that. Also, I wanted to send this Easter week greeting with three attachments.
- The first attachment is a letter all OPV registered parishioners will receive next week. You can wait for the print version (which will also come with your Festival Grand Raffle tickets) or read the attached version. The one special notice to alert you to is if you have relatives or friends who want to connect with us but cannot because they do not have internet connections. The letter explains how those with landline phones can dial in to hear our livestreamed 9 AM Sunday and daily Masses. This low-tech audio livestream by phone will begin this Sunday morning 4/19/2020. If you know someone who would appreciate this, please let them know this is possible now.
- A copy of this weekend's Parish Bulletin
- A copy of this weekend's Children's Bulletin - especially to help kids during a livestream Mass time.
Please reply if you would like to be added to the Flocknote list to receive a bulletin weekly. Please specify if you want the OPV or kid's version or both.
I hope that my next message to everyone is that our regular weekend Mass schedule is resuming. In the meantime, may God bless you and your family as we continue to pray through this pandemic crisis. In Christ's love, Father Kevin
