Hi all,
I just want to give everyone some updates now that the stay at home order has been extended. Please see below and let us know if you have any questions.
Confirmation Dates:
Unfortunately, the bishop has cancelled his Confirmations for May due to the Covid-19 pandemic. None of us wanted to do this, I'm sure least of all the bishop, but we will need to postpone Confirmation this year until later in the summer.
We are discussing now when to re-schedule Confirmation, which will be celebrated by our pastor. Much will depend on the state and local orders in place as the weeks progress. As soon as we know the new date, we will send out a Flocknote announcing it.
Retreats
We're just about ready to release our "Virtual Retreat" for Year I and Year II candidates. You should receive this in your email via Flocknote on Friday. If you have already completed your retreat for this year, you do not need to do this. This is for those who haven't been able to attend a retreat yet. It is important that when finished, a parent or guardian respond to us and let us know you've completed the retreat.
(If you are unsure whether you've attended your retreat, please email Mary at
mallison@scswf.org)
Submissions/Due Dates
We've had a few questions lately about due dates and submissions. Please remember that all forms/work should be emailed to Mary at
mallison@scswf.org. For due dates, we understand that this is a hard time for many. If you can submit work/forms to us by the due date, please do. If not, later in the summer will be fine.
Service hours can still be completed online by attending youth group or our online rosary. If you are praying on your own, please email Ed Snyder to get the guidelines for what will count for service hours.
If you are uncertain about what is due, please see the online Confirmation packet below.
We continue to pray for your family daily. Please pray for us. -Ed and Mary
