5. In mid April, we mailed you our annual Easter letter with an extra Easter offering envelope and "Catch Up" envelope for your consideration. We are extremely pleased with the very positive reaction and reception to our appeal. Under these pressing circumstances, we are happy to report that we are almost at 70% of our 2019 Easter Collection. This is impressive! We have suspended weekly collections since March 15th. The cost of managing our parish has not disappeared. Our monthly payroll for 80 employees is staggering.
We appeal for your help in the Catch-Up collection! Please return these envelopes in the enclosed self-addressed envelope by mail. If you would like to drop off your donation to the rectory, you may do so by using the Back Door and put it in the mail slot.
6. Our parish also conducts an online giving procedure called “WESHARE” and about 320 families already contribute to the parish this way. Feel free to continue to contribute to the Easter collection and the Catch-Up Collection on “WESHARE”. If interested in making a one-time gift or signing up for weekly “WESHARE” online offerings click here, or you can call Kelly or Julie from the rectory and they will walk you through it for your convenience.
7. Suggested Reading During the Quarantine by Fr. David Barton:
Tattoos on the Heart is a series of parables about kinship and redemption from pastor, activist, and renowned speaker, Father Gregory Boyle. This is a motivating look at how to stay faithful in spite of failure, how to meet the world with a loving heart, and how to conquer shame with boundless, restorative love.
An intimate tale of three generations, from the Civil War to the 20th century: a story about fathers and sons and the spiritual battles that still rage at America's heart.

Please use caution with emails from an unfamiliar email address. Some Parishioners and Staff recently reported receiving an "urgent" email that appeared to be from Monsignor Dwyer with a statement similar to "I Need Assistance From You, Email Me As Soon As You Get This Message". This is a typical "phishing" email. Phishing emails are used by cyber criminals to attempt to trick individuals by creating and sending fake emails that appear to be from an authentic source. Such emails are usually poorly written and designed to make you feel a sense of urgency. If you engage with the sender, they may ask you to confirm personal information, open an attachment that infects your computer, purchase gift cards or perform other financial transactions on their behalf. Do not reply or click any links if you have reason to suspect the email is not legitimate. Even if you think there’s a possibility that an email from Resurrection is genuine, you should
Contact the Rectory directly and ask to confirm – do not use any communication method provided in the email.
