The Little Sisters of Poor are defending themselves AGAIN before the U.S. Supreme Court today in Little Sisters of the Poor v. Pennsylvania, the latest iteration in a series of cases considering whether religious groups are exempt from Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate. For the first time oral arguments are viewable on
C-Span.
A group of U.S. bishops is urging a closer look at how COVID-19 is disproportionately affecting some African American communities. Though an accurate rate of infections and deaths among African Americans at the national level is not yet clear, some communities, including St. Louis and Washington, D.C., are reporting alarming levels of infection and death among African Americans.
