Materials Drop-off Day!
On Friday, May 22, we are asking that all Preschool through 7th grade students bring their STM issued materials back to school. Please CAREFULLY read through the information below.
Scheduled Arrival Times
Please adhere to the scheduled arrival times below. If you cannot make your time, please let the front office know so we can work logistics. We also ask for your patience as the process might take some time.
Drop-off Schedule by LAST names
A – G: 8:00 – 9:00 am
H – O: 9:30 - 10:30 am
P - Z: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Materials Drop Off Details
We will be running a carline style drop off to collect and distribute materials for the summer. Please enter the school parking lot the same way you would for morning or afternoon carline. Please do NOT park and get out of your car. Members of our maintenance crew will be assisting with taking materials out of your cars and members of staff will be distributing materials to you as well.
Guidelines:
- ALL returned materials MUST be put in a BLACK trash bag and tied in a knot; only one student per bag, please.
- If you have borrowed STM computers, iPads, etc. please know that you may hold on to these devices until May 29 to keep interacting with your teachers, etc. If you would like to return them on the 22nd that is fine, but please do not put borrowed technology in the black trash bag. Someone from the front office will be collecting it from you personally in your car.
- Label trash bag with the NAME OF THE STUDENT, GRADE, and HOMEBASE TEACHER NAME.
- Teachers will be posting a checklist of materials (to be included in the bag for return) on their blogs in the "Teacher Resources" section. I will also be sending these checklists out in the next day or two, or early next week. Please use this checklist to ensure all materials are in the black bag and include the checklists in the bags as well.
- Please remember to turn in any LIBRARY BOOKS as well.
- As always at the end of the year, textbook fines will be assessed if books have been damaged. Assessment of books will happen the week of May 25, so notification of damage to book and replacement costs will be mailed on or around June 1.
Additional Information:
- Used Uniform donations will be taken during this time. If you have uniforms to donate, please be sure they are in a black plastic bag and tied.
- Distance Learning Documentation Sheets should be included in the black bag of materials.
- Service Hours Sheets (Middle School only) should be included in the black bag of materials.
- Any basketball or volleyball uniforms should be put in a black plastic bag, tied, and labeled.
Items you will be receiving:
- Any medications that are at school still.
- Any personal belongings that might be in the classrooms.
- Any work that was on bulletin boards or in the halls.
- Summer Solutions if you had them delivered to the school.
- School Supplies Lists for next year (we will NOT be using EduKit, so all supplies must be purchased by you.)
- Summer Reading Assignments – if applicable to your student.
- Any miscellaneous work or artwork that still needed to be distributed.
Yearbooks
Unfortunately, due to given circumstances, yearbooks will not be delivered to STM until sometime this summer. When we receive the books, we will be letting everyone know how they will be distributed to individual families, or if they will be (possibly) kept until August for distribution.
Teacher Gifts, optional of course...
Some of you have reached out asking if you can bring end of year gifts for the teachers still, and the answer is yes! We will have an area to collect gifts and they will be distributed to the proper teacher. Please be sure anything you give us is clearly labeled.
This is a lot of information, I know. If I have forgotten anything, please forgive me and do not hesitate to reach out to me or any staff member with your questions.
Peace and blessings,
Mrs. DeWolfe
Principal
