Once again, St. Cecilia's is participating in the First Concern "Baby Bottle" fundraiser. First Concern Pregnancy Resource Center (of Clinton and Marlborough) has managed to stay 100% open throughout this pandemic, and has ministered to many young couples - and to very many abortion vulnerable young women, as well. They are an amazing group!
Through education, counseling, prayer, and being a continued source of material goods to people in need - while other centers in the diocese have closed do to the health concerns - they have managed to stay open and to save lives. Now, they'd like our help to be able to continue the good work they do.
In past years we have had Baby Bottles for you to bring home and fill with spare change, between
Mothers Day and
Fathers Day. With no public Masses, this year they are trying a "
virtual" Baby Bottle fundraiser where you can make donations online at the below address:
https://secure.ministrysync.com/ministrysync/event/website/home/?e=20155 The program will run 50 days, and a video can be seen
HERE for more details.
Deacon Bob Connor from St. Cecilia's is the President of their Board of Directors, and any questions you may have can be directed to him, as well (rsconnor@stceciliachurch.net).
How can you help? The average Baby Bottle we use can hold about $30 in Quarters, and that could purchase a package of diapers. Ongoing educational courses being offered to our clients can be provided for one month for about $80. To set up a client who walks through the door with pregnancy tests, counseling, support, and education is about a $100 expense.
For those of you still visiting the Church, there are some physical Baby Bottles there, that you can pick up and fill, as well, if you prefer. Donations can also be mailed to 46 High Street, Clinton, MA 01510. Thank you for your consideration!
