Wow...this is our last newsletter for Kindergarten! Can you believe it? I am amazed at how fast this year has gone!
Just like in our book today "Miss Bindergarten Celebrates The Last Day of Kindergarten", we are celebrating! While this has been a crazy year, we need to celebrate how our kids have grown, how we have grown, friendships made and problems overcome! Make sure to celebrate your kiddo! Take the last day of school picture! Have them hold the chalk board with all of the important information on it! Post it on whatever social media you are on or share it with family! Just because we are socially distanced doesn't mean that we can't celebrate! I can't wait to see how your family chooses to celebrate!
Fall Fest: Can you believe that we are thinking about Fall Fest already? Crazy! Usually we do a class project of some type! That was in the beginning stages but was cut short! So this year, we are doing a class basket! Our theme is Arts and Crafts! I would love it if you and your family would like to participate by purchasing items for the basket! You can bring them on Thursday or Friday this week when you pick up your child's items! Things to include in this basket can include (but are not limited to):
paint paint brushes construction paper
canvases of different sizes scissors glue sticks/glue
wood wood glue sidewalk chalk
ingredients for playdough or other goopy stuff (include instructions!)
gems glitter craft sticks
feathers colored tape stampers/stamp pads
OH MY GOODNESS!!! There are endless ideas! If you are not able to get anywhere for supplies, let me know! You can contribute a monetary donation & I will take care of it!!! Just let me know!
Supply Pick Up--This Thursday from 3 to 6 and Friday from 9 to noon, I will be at the school for you to pick up your child's "stuff" There are rest towels, art work, some jackets! I will also have a few goodies for the kids! Please just send one parent/adult! I would LOVE to see the kids but it is recommended that the children stay out of the building at this point! We need to honor that! If you have a library book, you can return it that day!
End of Year Assessment: Please complete and return in the green tub where you return your homework!
Handprints: If you haven't done so, please trace your child's RIGHT hand and either drop it off in the green tub or mail it to me (PO BOX 87, Crawfordsville, Iowa 52621) or send a picture and I will print it off... There are may ways I can get it! I was hoping to have this project ready by this week but I'm not sure that will happen...ok, I know it won't happen! So, expect a gift in the mail this summer! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
I think that is all for now! If I think of anything more, I will be in touch!
