Instructions
For safety reasons, we are limiting attendance inside the church to 275 people per Mass. That is less than 25% of our seats but due to the layout of the pews, this is the number of seats we guesstimate we can safely use. We have roped off some rows to keep people socially distant.
Bishop Thomas Olmsted wants people to either be physically present at Mass or virtually present by praying with the live-stream Mass, before receiving Communion.
Therefore, since we are unable to live-stream the 7am Mass, we will not offer Communion after the 7a.m., only during that Mass. All other Masses will be live-streamed and we will offer Communion during and after those Masses to provide as many people who wish, the opportunity to receive our Eucharistic Lord.
Masks - Please wear a mask when you come to church and wear it inside and outside. Only remove it for receiving Holy Communion.
Distance - Please maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet from people who do not live with you. Please do not just sit in the end seats. Many people want to attend Mass. Move toward the centers of rows and do not expect people to have to squeeze past you to get a seat.
Shared Responsibility -We encourage you to bring hand sanitizer with you.
No bleach: Do Not bring items that contain bleach into the sanctuary as this will damage the seats.
Rest Rooms - These will be open, but we are blocking off some stalls in both the men's and women's restrooms so that we can clean more thoroughly and more frequently.
Drinking Fountain - blocked
Together - We must share responsibility for making the church safer. It is not, and never will be, a sterile environment. Please help to mitigate the risks.
Stay Healthy - Stay-at-Home if you are vulnerable. This might be due to age or other conditions. There is no strict limit due to age, as we have seen the coronavirus affect people who are young and elderly.
Dispensation from Mass Attendance
Bishop Olmsted continues to extend his dispensation from the obligation to physically attend Mass. You ought to attend virtual Mass live-streamed, if possible or, if that is not possible, then please do your best to attend a recorded video Mass.
