Hello there, everyone! These last months have been a challenging time for so many of us in a number of different ways. As we begin upon the process of rebuilding, both in our parish & our world, let us pray for & support each other. In these days, we need to focus on what unites us rather than what divides us.
I want to take the opportunity too, to thank you for your generosity, both financially & in your prayers for our parish families in these difficult times. Many have continued to drop off their envelopes & offerings & for this we are extremely grateful. I wanted to take the opportunity to update you on where we stood at each parish. At St. Vincent De Paul we've experienced a decrease of about $15,000 in our offertory from this time last year to this year. At St. Pat's, we are experiencing a decrease in the offertory of about 25%. We have cut back on expenses as much as possible, but we are still reliant upon your support, both financially & spiritually , to pay our bills, keep the utilities running, support our staff, & keep up with any unexpected expenses that may occur. For example, at St. Vincent De Paul, there was water that would leak into the electrical room of the school that we couldn't wait until "times were better" to replace. That project had to be done right away & cost around $34,000. It is in the process of being finished, but we could not hold off on doing it any longer.
As we return to public Mass, whether or not we might feel comfortable coming back just yet, I ask you to, if at all possible, consider giving as you are able. There are a few different ways to do that...
1. You can drop your envelope in the baskets @ the doors of the Church @ Mass. Ushers will NOT be going through the pews taking up the collection.
2. You can mail your offerings to the parish office.
3. You can drop your offering off through the mail slot @ either parish office.
4. You can donate online using our secure online giving programs. I've recently heard from a few parishioners who have signed up to give this way & I'd invite you to consider it as well:
St. Vincent De Paul: Go to

St. Patrick:
https://stpatrickwp.weshareonline.orgIf you are able to extraordinary gift to help make up our shortfall, please don't hesitate to reach out. Or, if you are in need of help yourself, please don't hesitate to reach out either. The St. Vincent De Paul Society @ St. Vincent DePaul & the Helping Hands @ St. Pat's both received Diocesan grants to help us in our response to those whose lives were affected by this pandemic.
Thank you again! Please know of my prayers & support!
In Christ,
Fr. John
