Ascension 2020
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Happy Feast of the Ascension! Today Christ rises in victory, returning to heaven, to the right hand of God the Father. He assumed our human nature and become man on the Assumption and was born on Christmas. He won victory over sin and death on Easter and today on the Ascension He returns to His Father. Next comes Pentecost, when He sends the Holy Spirit to guide us along the path He opened. Our hope is to follow Him– where the Head has gone the Body of the Church will follow. Let us follow the path blazed by Christ, the path that leads to our true homeland and life eternal.
On this note of hope, I believe that soon public liturgies will resume. The Archdiocese has sent out detailed plans for restarting public Masses, and we're currently working to implement those plans so that we can resume public Masses as soon as the Cardinal allows it. Details will be forthcoming. I hope to see you all in person soon!
Have a blessed Feast of the Ascension and a blessed Memorial Day,
Fr. Boniface
