ADMISSIONS NEWS:- EdChoice Eligibility: In case you missed this last week!
- We recently contacted the state for clarification about the eligibility of students for the EdChoice scholarship based on the legislation that was passed in March. The state responded that according to HB 197, students would have to be assigned to buildings that are on both the 2019-20 and the 2020-21 eligible lists. Since Elyria, Columbia, Marion L. Steele and Oberlin High Schools are not on the 2019-20 list, students living in these school districts are not eligible for the traditional EdChoice scholarship. Because Lorain High School is on both lists, students living in this district continue to be eligible for the traditional EdChoice scholarship.
- Deadline for submitting the Traditional EdChoice & EdChoice Expansion is scholarship is May 30th.
- The state will be reviewing EdChoice scholarships and plans to send out scholarship acceptance letters by the end of June.
- If you have any questions about either scholarship, please contact Mrs. Ziegelmeyer.
