The Ascension of the Lord
Brothers and Sisters,
A Happy Ascension to you and your loved ones! I know that there is some disappointment in not being able to gather together this weekend for Sunday Mass as we were planning on. We are hopeful that Mayor Hogsett will allow us to have the capacity allowances we need for Sunday Masses very soon and are currently planning to resume our normal Sunday schedule the weekend of June 6th and 7th. Please stay tuned for more details.
I am happy to report that our parish office has resumed its normal operating hours. We have also resumed our normal schedule for Daily Masses, confessions and adoration. If you are coming to conduct business in the parish office or if you are coming to church for Mass, confession, adoration or to pray you should wear a mask. I also ask that you observe social distancing.
We realize that not everyone has a mask and would like to make some available. If you would be willing to donate masks please drop them off at the parish office or please contact me to make other arrangements if our normal parish office business hours do not work for you. Thank you so much to the generous individuals who have already responded with masks. They are greatly appreciated!
It has been great to celebrate Mass with a congregation at our Daily Masses! Let us lift one another up in prayer and in a special way remember those who have not yet been able to return to the sacraments.
May God Bless You!
Father Doug
