Principal's Post
Over the course of Distance Learning you have been supporting and praising our OLP teachers and students through this difficult time. We all know how far words of affirmation can go to aid us through difficult times. As a member of the OLP staff, thank you for being in our corner through the good and the bad of these last couple of months. Having parents, grandparents, and parishioners like you support OLP while we have navigated uncharted waters has been a source of motivation.
With that said, everyone at OLP wants to thank YOU! To all of our parents and supporters, without your troubleshooting of tech issues at home, sharing devices, serving as teacher and counselor, taking on cafeteria lunch lady/man duties, learning the ways of the maintenance crew, braving nurse responsibilities, AND playing your roles in your household and job...THANK YOU!
I know there has been frustration and tension in our households due to Distance Learning but I dare to say that there will be a time, down the road, where we will miss the time spent together as families. It may be hard to appreciate in the think of quarantine BUT I know I will look back as miss the walks, bike rides, movie-thons, brain breaks on the trampoline, meals at the table together, card games, etc.
GET TO THE POINT BERRY!
OK OK- Times have been tough but without YOU, yes you parents, grandparents, and OLP supporters this all would have been impossible to survive. Thank you for looking out for us, checking in on us, and appreciating all that the OLP staff has done for your students. Never before have I felt so distant from you all and at the same time the greatest sense of solidarity.
FLY HIGH EAGLE NATION!
