My brothers and sisters ... Praise God!
Praise His Holy Name!
Because our parish staff and volunteers worked very hard to get our facilities ready and that we were able to reopen for public Masses on Monday, May 25 ... all of our patience and hard work have paid off!
Today, the priests of the Diocese received a letter from the Bishop. Starting with the weekend Masses for June 6-7 (i.e., starting with the 4:00pm Mass on June 6), our parish will no longer have to observe the 10 person limit for any of our weekend or weekday Masses ... but are now allowed to go to 30% of our occupancy ... which means we can have about 200 people at a Mass!
Praise God!
From the Bishop’s letter ...
“Effective with the Masses for the weekend of June 6–7, parishes that have already been certified and which have celebrated for at least one week Masses in the presence of the 10 faithful, may increase the number of faithful present to a number not to exceed 30% of the seating capacity of the parish church. The actual number of the faithful who can be accommodated in each church will vary from that maximum number in order to faithfully implement the necessary spacing for social distancing.”
Again ... Praise God!
And so, I ask that you please stay connected to us with Flocknote as we will be evaluating a lot of things this week and will keep you all in the loop as much as possible.
I once again thank you for your patience during this difficult time but also for your beautiful Faith. These last few months have been very challenging for all of us ... but we are truly beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Know of my continued prayers for you all ... and know that I am so very looking forward to our family gathering together in our parish home to worship the Lord at holy Mass and to receive Him in Holy Communion.
Talk soon!
In Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Grady
