We WARMLY WELCOME YOU HOME TO ST. MAX!
We are reminding everyone of the necessary precautions for the safe return of those that might be venturing back to the pews for the first time this week. Please click on the Arise image above for more information about returning to Mass.
Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we make our way back to the in-person celebration of the Mass.
Chester County moves into the GREEN PHASE!
As of today, Friday, June 26, 2020...Chester County has made it to the GREEN PHASE of statewide reopening. We will need to continue to do our part to make sure that our return to Mass is a peaceful and safe experience for all.
There are a few items to highlight:
The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation remains suspended until further notice. This means that no one is under obligation to come to Mass. Those that are sick, elderly, or with other pre-existing conditions are encouraged to remain home.
We will continue to record/video the Saturday 4:00 pm Mass, and will post it to the website and send to your email so that you may view it at your convenience.
Masks are still encouraged to be worn by all the faithful for the full duration of Mass. Please remove your mask just prior to receiving Holy Communion, and then place it back on before returning to your pew.
6 feet of social distance between members of different households remains the norm in the pews and in the aisles as you enter and leave Mass. Please be aware of this as you process up the aisle to receive and return from receiving Holy Communion. Please keep a couple of pews distance between you and the person in front of you.
Liturgical singing is to remain at a minimum. Holy water fonts will remain empty. Parishioners are encouraged to bring their own missals. The Offertory procession and the sign of peace will not resume at this time.
Everyone is still encouraged to receive Holy Communion in the hand at this time.
Deacons and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may resume visits with Holy Communion to the home-bound and medical facilities provided that the Communion Minister, the facility, and the person to be visited all have an understanding regarding what precautions will be taken. Please contact the Rectory Office if you or someone you know, wishes to receive Holy Communion at home.
Please take the time to review the Directives below. We ask everyone to align yourselves with these directives when attending Mass at St. Max during this time.
"I will establish peace in their homes. I will comfort them in all their afflictions. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death. I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings. I will..."
