Dear Faith Formation families, 7/23/2020
Hello, and God Bless all of you! I am excited to introduce myself as your new Coordinator of Religious Education, and look forward to meeting each of you and your children, as soon as we are able to have gatherings again. Until that time, I will continue to update you on the latest news regarding our CFF Program, and I will keep you in my prayers.
Fall registration is in progress! Please register before August 15th to receive the discounted tuition. Our program is ready to go and able to conform to any unforeseen circumstance that may occur. It's going to be a great adventure, and I look forward to joining each family in growing the seeds of faith in your children.
In a recent message, Pope Francis stated:
A home is a domestic Church in which to experience communion and offer the example of worship of a life lived in faith, hope and charity
Please continue to practice your faith with your families. There are many ways to develop and enrich the domestic Church in your home. Here are just a few examples:
Install a holy water font where family members can bless themselves in the morning and at night
Create a prayer place and light candles as you watch mass together online
Place images of our Blessed Mother, the Divine Mercy, Saints, or other holy pictures on your walls
Pray together in the morning and/or at night, not just before meals
Talk about God, thank God, and praise God--out loud
Observe nature together and talk about Creation
Prepare for Sunday mass by reading the gospel ahead of time
Set a place at the table for Jesus to reinforce His presence in our lives
Sing/ listen to Christian music
Watch programs or movies with Christian themes
There are so many things that you can do to help your children grow in their love of God. During this time of separation from our parish, I hope that you will find new ways of enriching your domestic Church, and share them with me!
Please stay healthy, happy and holy!
