Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Those eligible under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, known as DREAMERS, have been given a temporary reprieve by the Supreme Court. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has studied this case and is urging Congress to pass legislation that would create a permanent solution for these young adults.
While we need to advocate for DREAMERS for a host of reasons, the economic impact of DREAMERS in our country is profound. The attached article from the USCCB is very insightful. Please take a few moments to read the short two-page article.
