Dear Parishioners,
Today's Funeral
With several ushers and better pre-planning, we had a big and stable funeral today. Thank you to everyone who helped make it go smoothly.
Livestreaming Encoder Error
Every once in a while, our livestreaming encoder encounters an error and stops. It happened at today's funeral. We restarted the streaming which started a second video.
If you are watching the livestreaming and it stops, try going back to our YouTube channel and see if a new livestream starts.
St. Junipero Serra
You may have heard about St. Junipero Serra's statue being toppled a few days ago. We celebrate his feast day today. He was an advocate for and missionary to Native Americans. It seems crazy that his statue would be toppled. It's an example of a "cancel culture" where the rioters want to eliminate the past. The Archbishop of San Francisco prayed an exorcism at the cite of the desecration. Many people are praying that this "cancel culture" might be filled in with a truly pro-life and pro-God culture.
New Private Prayer Times
Today is our first day for our new private prayer time in the church: 2-4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Holiday
Since Saturday is Independence Day, the office will be closed on Friday. The church will also be closed except for daily Mass at 8 AM and a funeral at 12 Noon.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
