Hello everyone. I hope you are well and keeping safe. I am not sure if you noticed last weekend, we hired a professional service to sanitize the church and various areas such as the bathrooms before and after the Masses. I think they did a great job last weekend, so we will continue with them for the duration. I'll be heading back today after Mass down here at the shore. It was great swimming and hanging out at the beach this morning with my nephew Kevin. You can learn an awful lot from a 21 year old!
In any event, I thought I'd share this rather poignant quotation from Archbishop Sheen.
Enjoy the rest of the day!
“Broken things are precious. We eat broken bread because we share in the depth of our Lord and His broken life. Broken flowers give perfume. Broken incense is used in adoration. A broken ship saved Paul and many other passengers on their way to Rome. Sometimes the only way the good Lord can get into some hearts is to break them.”
― Fulton J. Sheen
