Sunday Mass Family Resources
St. Joseph the Worker Family Page
St. Joseph the Worker is a church website that shares an overview of the Sunday Mass themes through their Family Page. It includes a simple summary of the Gospel lesson and an idea for an activity related to the theme to help remember it. The Family Page is also downloadable as a PDF. Here's an excerpt from their page:
Family Chat: Sometimes older brothers and sisters think they know all the answers; even parents think this way. Today in our Gospel, Jesus tells us that it isn’t always the clever people or those who are older who know all the answers. Often it can be those who have childlike hearts who can give us insights beyond what we think they know. We will also hear in our Gospel today Jesus telling us to bring him our burdens. What kind of burdens do you have as a family? How about individuals in the family? Listening to today’s readings will help our burdens be lifted.
Holy Heroes Mass Prep
Holy Heroes offers a Children's Mass Prep page each Sunday including a video illustrating the Gospel of the Week to be easier for children to understand.
Catholic Kids Media Homily Video
Catholic Kids Media publishes a video illustrating the week's readings along with a short homily. It's a great video to watch before mass as a first introduction for that Sunday. Watch it a few times if you need to!
