We want to welcome Father John Sauer, our new Pastor! We are excited for you all to get to know him!
Youth Ministry Staff will be talking with him soon about how we can best move forward in light of the complexities of the pandemic. Much of the info below is a repeat of last week, but there are updates about Camp Summit and our section for parents is all new too!

In Person Weekend Masses

For the next couple weeks Pax Christi will be celebrating Masses on Saturday at 5:15 pm (in the Church), and on Sunday at 8 am (online) and 10 am (in the Church).
We need your help to make Mass more available
We are in need of volunteers to help with various roles at Mass (ushering, cleaning, etc...). If you are willing to help please contact our Liturgist, Fran Kooistra, at fran.kooistra@paxchristichurch.org or Zach at zach.rawson@paxchristichurch.org.
Rochester Steubenville Conference
Those of you who signed up for Steubenville received a note from Dana about an alternative on-line conference option; if you didn't receive that note contact Dana.
High School Service Trip
We have been working on an alternative to the High School Service Trip and will have information to share in the coming weeks.
Camp Summit
Please join us Sun, Jul 26 from 1-4pm at The Crossings Center in Lewiston, MN. We will come together for socially distanced fellowship, praise and worship with the UNITE Band, Mass with Bishop Quinn, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
The event will be outside; please bring a lawn chair per person, sunscreen/hat/sunglasses, water, and a mask. To keep everyone safe and healthy, there are a limited number of spaces available. Although the whole family is invited (we know it may be a long drive), we encourage only one parent to attend with their child if possible. The event is free, but you must sign-up here to reserve your spot.

St. James Coffee Needs You!
Due to the statewide shutdown on top of being closed for almost 3 months. St. James Coffee is unable to host their major fundraisers. Without financial support they will likely have to close their doors for good. St. James has been a great partner for us in youth ministry over the last 7 years. If you are able, your support would mean a lot.
We were asked to hold off on anything in person through the month of June. Father Sauer (our new Pastor) will be starting on July 1st and we should have more information about in person activities/events soon thereafter.
Bishop Quinn has let parishes know that they can begin the process of setting dates for their Confirmation Liturgies. This will be one of the first things we discuss with Fr. Sauer upon his arrival. Look for updates later in July.
Note for Confirmation II Students
If you haven't submitted your Letter to the Bishop please do so immediately. Information about those letters can be found HERE. Once you have it written you may sign, scan, and email it to Dana at dana.petricka@paxchristichurch.org.
Teaching Catholic Kids, is a valuable online tool for parents. Free downloadable activities and articles are updated each week. The content skews more towards families with younger children, but there are some great ideas for families of any age!
