Rooted in Christ: Living Well in Challenging Times
We are all living in a complex, confusing world. A world-wide pandemic that has separated us from each other, as well as assaults based on religious, racial, and political differences, have thrown us off balance and are keeping us from feeling anchored and secure. A young man in the 6th century, Benedict of Nursia, found himself in a similarly confusing situation and developed a Christian way of life that provided spiritual strength and enhanced personal stability. His Benedictine way is still practiced today throughout the world. Join Fr. Daniel McMullin and the campus ministry staff for four consecutive Wednesday evenings beginning July 15, 2020 as we explore together the treasures of Benedictine spirituality through teaching, prayer, conversation, and encouragement. Matthew 9:35- 38
Jesus went around to all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues,
proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom,
and curing every disease and illness.
At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them
because they were troubled and abandoned,
like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.”
