Hello everyone. I hope you are well and keeping safe. Around this time a number of years ago, I went on a pilgrimage/retreat with my brother priests to Spain. One of my favorite places was Avila. Walking around there alone one day, I simply felt the presence of St Teresa of Avila just about everywhere. In fact, the locals referred to her as "La Santa" ("the Saint") as if there were no others!
Here is a famous quote to consider today from "la Santa." I am heading down to the shore to bring communion to my mom. I just might take a dip in the ocean as well. Enjoy the day.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands,
no feet but yours.
Yours are the eyes with which Christ looks out his compassion to the world.
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good.
Yours are the hands with which he is to bless us now.
