I know that these past several weeks have been very difficult for us all. As we slowly work our way to “normal” – at least, as normal as possible under the conditions that still befall us in this time of pandemic – I continue to thank God for the blessings that He has given to see us through these challenges, as well as glimpses to their resolution.
This week we take one step closer to that resolution as we see the re-establishment of the 11AM Mass from the temporary time of 11:30 to its rightful place. The experience gained by the various Liturgical Environment Ministry groups (Parking, Greeting and Cleaning) has showed us that it is possible to have the church properly cleaned and prepared for the next Mass without extending past our customary times.
This has been experience that has been gained through and benefitted from with the help of many individuals. My heartfelt thanks to Christie, Richard, Vicki and to their teams to ensure that we are able to safely and courteously guide people from the moment they enter the parking lot (whether it is for Mass or for outside Communion afterwards) to when they leave the celebration of the Mass, every moment in between, and the preparations needed between Masses to ensure that we keep a healthy, welcoming and worshipful church environment.
Although all Masses (Saturday 4PM, Sunday 9 and 11AM) now are being celebrated with congregations, we still continue our live-streaming (and parking lot transmission on 107.7FM) followed by outdoor Communion of the Sunday 9AM for those still not ready to return to the church building (with a reminder that dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass for health concerns continues until September 7th).
Although reservation is
not required, it is the way that you can be assured of having a seat. When the church reaches capacity, no one else will be allowed inside.

I want to thank the Visitation Parish family for your understanding, patience and cooperation. We have come this far together and we will continue and prevail the same way, trusting in Jesus Christ and always seeking his help as we journey through this vale of tears to his Father’s kingdom, showing others the way by our courageous, joy- and faith-filled example. May God continue to bless all of us and be assured of my prayers for you each day!
