Hello Church Family,
This weekend we continue our CV19-restricted Connect Group and worship service online. We will start with our 10:30A group, focused on the adult lesson, #2.
Following the study time, you are encouraged, and invited, to join the Arlington SDA Church service on the Zoom call, or you may go directly to:
I personally hope you will join in the study time together as a church, as it went well last week and it is a time to remain connected. As we grow we will branch out into more groups to keep them around 10-12 people total.

On another note...
Some of you may wonder why we are streaming Arlington for the church service this week, as we did last week. The truth is we are not setup to stream in hi-quality at the moment, and we want each of you to gain a full, rich worship experience, as it comes from Arlington. We also know there may be other choices you would enjoy, and that is fine too. But, there is a reason we are streaming Arlington, not others.
We are exploring a partnership for the future of resources, and sharing the mission, vision, and values we hold together, to accomplish more than Lewisville has been able to do prior to now, and what could be possible in the future. In this partnership, if we were to pursue it, we would be doing our own services live on-site, and streaming the pastor from Arlington in during that portion of the service. We would like to get your feedback as to the preaching and style of Kevin Wells, and others you hear in addition to the senior pastor (Kevin). We also feel the resources which would be shared by Arlington to Lewisville, in a successful partnership, would enhance every aspect of our church, from children to adults, and help us achieve the strategic goals voted upon last year, which will let Lewisville be a strong community church in the future.
So, join in tomorrow with Arlington. Get a vibe for who they are, and what they do, for you will see they reflect much of what Lewisville has been transforming into: a missional church, focused on the gospel to all people, from all walks of life, no barriers, just bridges back to God. We believe their excellence can soon be ours as well.
Your leadership team will be meeting this coming Sunday to discuss the possibilities of this relationship, and how it could benefit both churches. If we do not do this, then Lewisville will be merged with another church in the area, and share their pastor, as by itself Lewisville cannot sustain a single, full-time pastor under the new tithe formula, which has come about under the strains of finance in Texas Conference. Rather than be forced to take a pastor that does not fit the mission, vision, and values of Lewisville, the leadership team would like to explore a long-term relationship with Arlington that gives stability and continuity and achieving mission, and going forward, not backward, as a pastoral transition might dictate.
Please be in prayer for Lewisville, and don't let distance keep you from loving your church, and all God has planned!
Blessings,
Dean

Note: this week the General Conference accepted the recommendation of the North American Division to elect G. Alex Bryant as the new president of the NAD. He was approved yesterday, 153-5, and began effective the vote. Elder Bryan is a warm, kind, caring man, and a fit choice for the role of president in these times. I have no doubt he was God's man for this time, and will prove quite able.
Here is a brief interview from this week, should you be interested...
