Dear Saint Hubert Parish Family,
This Sunday, we hear Jesus' parable about God's word. He compares it to seeds that are spread over a farmer's field. The seed that takes root and grows is the seed on rich soil. For us, that's the heart.
So join us as we come together this Sunday to take in God's word and to celebrate Jesus' real presence in the Eucharist. We will continue to stream the Mass Sunday morning for those unable to come in person due to the limited amount of people who can attend. There is a worship aid available as well so you can sing along and participate at home.
Opening Up: Where We're At
Saint Hubert Scouts: The Eagles are Soaring!
This past Wednesday our Saint Hubert scout troop 399, led by Roger Malinski and his team, was featured in an article in the Daily Herald. It's good news: All 7 of the graduating seniors in the troop earned the rank of Eagle. All told, the troop has produced an amazing 99 Eagle Scouts since it began. We're very proud of the troop, it leaders, and the 7 newest Eagle Scouts.
Reconciliation & Private Prayer
Sign up for Reconciliation, which is now on Tuesdays between 5pm and 7pm. Always remember, if this is not a good time for you, please contact Fr. Mike.
Please note the main church will also be open at that time for private prayer. (Private prayer does not require signing up.)
Need a Helping Hand?
Longtime parishioner and "Buggy Whipper" Joan Jarzemsky shares a thank you for the Helping Hand she received recently. Helping Hands is a ministry of Saint Hubert. Parishioners lend a hand to help other parishioners in need. If you'd like to learn more, call us at 847-885-7700 x102. Leave your name and message and we will return your call.
Thank you "Helping Hands" for coming to my aid this morning. Six bushes needed to be trimmed pretty extensively, along with a few other bushes, and weeding in the area was done. The workers did such a wonderful job and cleaned up afterwards.
I am so grateful for their help since I cannot do the gardening that I used to do; -- I just turned 92 and have some health and knee problems. This is the first time I asked for help from Helping Hands but I am so appreciative of their work and help this morning, despite the miserably hot weather, that I will surely ask for their help again.
Thank you so much for having an organization called "Helping Hands" at St. Hubert.
