How will a Virtual VBS work?
Virtual Vacation Bible School is sponsored by a collaboration of parishes from around Chicago. It is targeted for children grades Kindergarten to Fourth grade but open to any child. Older children may prove valuable in helping younger children participate.
Participants are registered by family. And each family will receive an at-home packet of materials (one for each participant) to use during the program.
Schedule:
Participants will have a morning Zoom call from 9:00am to 9:45am and an afternoon Zoom call from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. Participants will be given instructions on at-home activities to do between the calls and faculty from Saint Andrew will call each student during the day to assist with the activities.
Parents will receive an email each night with the links to the calls and instructions for the day ahead.
It is preferred that each student participate in the calls for better interaction with classmates and teachers, but the calls are recorded so a student may still watch and participate if they cannot make a call.
