Hi All,
Thank you for your prayers for the fellow parishioner who reported testing positive for COVID-19 last week. I checked with the parishioner on Monday, July 20 and unfortunately, the person is still suffering with the same symptoms that come and go in different degree. Also, the spouse of the person has had the same symptoms and they both continue to struggle with the illness. However, there is some good news. The couple is retired and so are not missing any work, and furthermore, have a daughter who is a nurse that is advising them and supporting them. Other than the illness, there are no reported complications and they are staying at home and have not needed any hospital assistance.
Even more good news is that no one else has reported any COVID related symptoms to the parish. Today marks 2 weeks since the Festival day when the person was present in the kitchen and no one from the festival that night nor the volunteers reported any problems. We continue to follow all diocesan, state and local regulations to keep our parishioners as safe as possible. Please keep in your prayers our parish couple who continue to struggle and for all those affected by this dangerous virus.
In Christ, Father Kevin
