What's New: Start shopping those back to school ads, as of today, Our Lady of Peace is all systems go for returning to campus for the first day of school on Monday, 8/31! Of course, like everything during these unprecedented times, all plans are fluid and can be altered should it be deemed necessary to protect the health & safety of our students, staff, and families.
Why It's Important: The School Building Reopening Committee (SBRC) is confident in the Pandemic Preparedness & Response Plan (PPRP) that it has developed over the past several weeks, informed by the recommendations of the MDH, CDC as well as the feedback from our families and staff via last week's survey. With just over one month before the start of another school year, it is important to use these next few weeks to begin preparing everyone for what this return to campus will look like.
What's Next: OLP will begin disseminating the various components of the PPRP, in easy-to-read, easy-to-teach segments over the next few days. In addition to these practical steps, you can learn more about what returning to campus will look like from our latest podcast episode (link at the bottom of Weekly Three). We have also attached the latest letter from Auxiliary Bishop Cozzens, discussing the direction the Archdiocese is giving during the pandemic. Finally, below is the link to the 2020-21 school supply lists by grade. Please note, as just one of the many considerations outlined by the PPRP, students will not be sharing classroom supplies as they have in years past, in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and therefore, these lists are longer than normal.
