Join us this Wednesday, March 22, for the third session in our Lenten Series on Christian Prayer: Raising the Heart and Mind to God. This week’s session is WALKING A SACRED PATH with Religious Education Director Lori Mazzone. By reintroducing the ancient labyrinth, we’ll discuss this method of prayer where quiet reflection can draw our hearts closer to God, and silent steps along the peaceful path can deepen the prayer experience.
Walking a labyrinth is a metaphor for our spiritual journey and a powerful tool for transformation. Once introduced, participants will be invited to either walk a 30-foot-square canvas labyrinth laid out on the floor of Johnson Hall, or trace a hand-held labyrinth with fingertips. Please wear socks if you would like to walk the floor labyrinth; no shoes please. We’ll begin at 7 p.m. in Johnson Hall. All ages are welcome.
