Here is a care for creation tip from on our ministry colleagues in Minnesota:
With the hot, dry weather here, consider drying your laundry on a line. In addition to saving money and energy, you might find you like the way your clothing smells after being in the breeze. Don't have a clothesline? Many storable, foldable drying racks are available both for outdoor and indoors.
WOOL DRYER BALLS
If you decide to use the clothes dryer, you can still save energy and money, and reduce trash, by throwing in wool dryer balls instead of using dryer sheets and/or fabric softeners. Dryer sheets and fabric softeners are usually full of chemicals and polyesters, which don’t break down easily and are harmful in the environment.
Dryer balls can last for more than 1000 uses and improve laundry circulation, which reduces drying time. Many people find they leave the laundry “fluffier.”
