Dear Saint Hubert Parish Family,
This Sunday, our scripture readings focus on God's desire to take care of us. Jesus fed over 5000 people who came to him--which satisfied a physical hunger. But he also found a way to satisfy their spiritual hunger, too.
2000 years later, during the celebration of the Mass and our Sacraments, he continues to nourish and feed us with his presence.
Whether in person or on-line, please join our parish family this Sunday for prayer. The One who ultimately satisfies our deepest hunger for meaning is the One who brings us together: Jesus Christ.
Mass On-Line
Receiving the Sacraments for the First Time
Check out this week's bulletin for for a look at who received First Communion for the first time this past month, along with the adults and teens who will be fully initiated into the Catholic Church on Sunday at noon in a special Mass.
The Sacraments of Christian Initiation are usually part of the Easter Vigil, which we could not celebrate at the parish this year because of the stay-at-home order. As such, this special Mass on Sunday will be a joyful day, complete with Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion.
We are grateful to all our parishioners who give their time, talent and energy to help bring others into the fullness of the Church. If you ever wanted to help teach the faith, please let us know. Mike Keenan is the Director of Religious Education and Marie Staffa coordinates the RCIA and CMI programs.
Next Saturday, Father Bob Rizzo--our pastor emeritus--returns to Saint Hubert to preside at the first two of four Confirmation Masses this month.
Adding On
We will add a third Sunday Mass beginning Sunday, August 16 at noon and will resume the Saturday 4:30pm Mass on either August 29 or September 5.
Based on some good feedback from parishioners, please note that beginning this Wednesday we decided to move back the initial sign-up time for Sunday Mass from beginning at 3pm on Wednesdays to beginning at 6pm.
This week also join us for Weekday Masses on Monday, Tuesday or Friday--all at 8:30am. Or come for Reconciliation or Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesdays from 5-7pm.
Saint Hubert Devotional Prayer Videos
Located on our website, we developed special videos filmed at St. Hubert to help pray the Rosary or Chaplet of Divine Mercy and to experience Deacon Allen's Adore & Worship service. For those unable to make it back to church, these can be a nice way to nurture the spiritual life. It's a way to feel at home at Saint Hubert in the comfort of your own home.
