Dear Member(s) of St. Edward Church,
You will recall that I sent a letter to you in July announcing that our parish again has a wonderful opportunity in this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal to retire another $100,000 of our building debt. We are currently at $131,000.00. We now press on to our total goal of $200,000, which enables us to have some breathing room in our yearly parish operating expenses. That’s where you come in. I ask you to make a pledge today at any level that is possible for you.
We have asked new households (since the original building campaign) to consider a $1200 pledge and veteran parishioners to consider a $500 pledge. These pledges can be made over 10 months. That means whatever you are able to do in this challenging economic time will be most helpful.
Please don’t toss aside this enclosed pledge envelope. Rather use it to make a pledge that will help us retire our debt and position us for the future needs of our parish.
I sincerely appreciate whatever you do for this parish that together we can build up the Kingdom of God in this time and place.
May God and good St. Edward bless you.
Msgr Paul P. Enke
Pastor
p.s. If it is impossible for you to make even the smallest gift, I hope you will open your heart to serve God’s work here in other ways and to pray for the success of the Appeal in our parish and diocese.
