Dear Crusader Families,
I wanted to take this moment to thank our CtRCS families. You have been truly outstanding in terms of your patience, understanding, and flexibility. I have heard many stories from fellow administrators and they don't always sound like this. I appreciate the questions, concerns, and ideas you have brought to my attention. I commend you for your vulnerability when speaking about the pandemic and its affects on your family. Most of all, I am continually filled with hope and reminded that we are so much more than a school. We are a community united in Christ and focused on our purpose of loving God and neighbor and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in words and actions!
Please remember that this Friday, August 7th is the deadline to submit your choice for On-Campus Learning or the Virtual Crusader Classroom (VCC). Those who do not submit their choice by tomorrow, Friday, August 7th, will automatically be placed in our Virtual Crusader Classroom. Please use this FORM to make your selection.
In all circumstances, and in each classroom, we are working diligently to ensure proper safety measures are put in place. Everything from ordering additional portable sinks and hand sanitizing stations, to ensuring we research and use high-quality, effective, and safe disinfectants and sanitizers. We are working together with our facilities department, evening cleaning crew, and our own faculty and staff to ensure our cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting procedures are done properly and often. In addition to our evening crew, our faculty and staff will clean and disinfect throughout the day.
A majority of our teacher in-service schedule will revolve around how to manage and work within our new reality, as well as ensuring that we keep our kiddos and colleagues as safe as possible. Remember, we can't eliminate risk, but we can certainly mitigate as much risk as possible.
We are also working on social distancing measures both in terms of our classroom arrangements and the movement of our students. This is where we need YOUR help. While we can do everything in our power to keep children socially distanced from one another, reminding them of following their teachers rules will help us tremendously. In addition, continue to practice washing those hands and don't wait for the day of school to put on a mask for the first time. Have FUN with masks! Get your children used to wearing them BEFORE school starts. Your attitude toward mask wearing will be THEIR attitude at school.
Finally, we continue to be here for you. As both Father Sean and I mentioned, we will do everything we can to support our families throughout this pandemic. While we cannot honor every request, we will do our best to ensure your child(ren) continue to receive outstanding, INSPIRED learning from CtRCS. May God Bless each of you. Stay Safe Crusaders. Stay STRONG!!
In Christ and His Kingdom,
Dan Courtney
Principal
