TO: All Parishes and Parish Schools which received PPP Loans
Please be advised that you need to apply for forgiveness of these loans.
On June 30, 2020 a bill was introduced in the US Senate that would create a dramatically simpler forgiveness process under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for certain smaller PPP Loans. Entitled the “Paycheck Protection Small Business Forgiveness Act,” the bill would amend the CARES Act to more easily provide for loan forgiveness to borrowers of PPP Loans totaling $150,000 or less. Until (or if) this Act is passed and becomes law, please fill out your PPP Loan Forgiveness Applications and gather all the backup needed to verify your amounts.
If you need help with your loan forgiveness applications, I would first reach out to the bank that processed your loan. We have attached the following information to help apply:
- PPP Loan Forgiveness EZ Form
- PPP Loan Forgiveness EZ Form Instructions
- PPP Forgiveness Frequently Asked Questions
We will also post these on our website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Just a reminder, please let the Fiscal Affairs office know if you received a PPP Loan and have not sent in this information previously. This information is needed for our August 31, 2020 audited financial statements as all loans are considered a liability under the Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, A Sole Corporation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
