My brothers and sisters in Christ,
I wish to express my gratitude to the parishioners of Christ the King Parish for their generosity to the Annual Partners in Charity Appeal. As you know, your parish has exceeded its goal. In light of this important accomplishment, I offer my deepest appreciation.
This year, our theme for the Partners in Charity 2020 appeal is Envision Faith in Action. As we have worked together to provide for the needs of thousands of people in the Diocese of Worcester in the year ahead, we are reminded that charity is the very heart and center of the plan of God’s providence. Your support of 26 charitable, educational, and pastoral programs is an excellent witness of your own Christian generosity.
I am very grateful for the efforts of Monsignor Thomas Sullivan who helped to promote the annual appeal at Christ the King Parish. Please be assured of my appreciation for the goodness of those parishioners who joined as partners in the ministry of the Risen Lord to enable us to achieve this accomplishment.
Please pray that St. Oscar Romero will continue to bless our efforts. All of our parishes are continuing to conduct the Annual Partners in Charity Appeal. Nearly 3,500 individual families throughout the Diocese have yet to make their gifts, and the Diocese is still $940,225 short of its goal. It is my hope that, following your inspiring example at Christ the King, we will continue to build on what we have already accomplished in this campaign and meet our diocesan goal.
With every prayerful best wish, I remain
Sincerely yours in Christ,
+ Robert J. McManus
